Portugal is no stranger to motorcycle racing as it first hosted the event in 1987 at Jarama. It then took a break for 13 years and only returned in 2000 after the Estoril Circuit was homologated for international motorcycle racing. With events held from then till 2012, Portugal is proud to host the event again in 2020 at the Algarve International Circuit. The circuit has been the reserve track for MotoGP since 2017, and now its comeback not only boasts of Portugese rider Miguel Oliveira racing on home turf in the premier class for the first time, but also of the spectacular beaches and fantastic climate all year round.
The Algarve International Circuit is more than just a racetrack. It sits within the Algarve Motorsports Park, a facility which includes the race track, a go-kart track, an off-road park, a hotel, an apartment complex, a technology park and a sports complex. The circuit itself, more commonly known as Portimao, has a 100,000 capacity and was opened in 2008. It was inaugurated by WorldSBK for the final round of the season and today, it has earned itself the reputation of a high-speed roller coaster that challenges all riders on the circuit.
The circuit is renowned for its elevation changes and undulating layout, and with its 15 corners, drivers are given the chance to display their skills. The Main Straight, especially, really tests the drivers ability to handle their cars as they go immediately into a unique downhill descent into Turn 1. A thrill for riders and fans, we want you to enjoy every moment of the race with our amazing packages that guarantee great views of track action. The Main Grandstand Track Level places you where the action is and you have a direct view of the team garages and the start/finish line. The Main Grandstand Upper Level brings you the same views, but you will be in an elevated position which gives you an awesome view of the circuit. It is also the only covered grandstand of the circuit.
With so many fabulous seats and our great prices, we want to give you even more pleasure by dishing out extra discounts on those special occasions throughout the year.
