Brand-new for the 2026 season, Formula 1 Madrid definitely has surprises for us. Designed by the acclaimed Studio Dromo, the 5.4km layout weaves around Madrid’s well-known IFEMA exhibition centre in a seamless mix of urban edge and racing precision.
Featuring 22 turns and 57 laps, this hybrid circuit combines public roads and bespoke sections to deliver high-speed thrills and technical mastery in equal measure. A standout moment awaits at La Monumental at Turn 12 – a 550-metre, 24%-banked turn that’s set to become an iconic landmark in the championship, which Sainz highlighted as the potential icon of the circuit.
Adding to the excitement, Spanish F1 star Carlos Sainz has been named the official ambassador for the circuit, bringing local pride and global star power to the event. From roaring down the 589-meter straight into a sharp chicane, through sweeping urban bends, every turn promises to test driver skill and reward fans.
