Brand-new for the 2026 season, Formula 1 Madrid definitely has surprises for us. Designed by the acclaimed Studio Dromo, the 5.4km layout weaves around Madrid’s well-known IFEMA exhibition centre in a seamless mix of urban edge and racing precision.
Featuring 22 turns and 57 laps, this hybrid circuit combines public roads and bespoke sections to deliver high-speed thrills and technical mastery in equal measure. A standout moment awaits at La Monumental at Turn 12 – a 550-metre, 24%-banked turn that’s set to become an iconic landmark in the championship, which Sainz highlighted as the potential icon of the circuit.

Here’s how you can get to IFEMA / the Madrid GP circuit (“Madring”) — depending on where you are starting from. The circuit is built around the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid, near Barajas Airport.
- The circuit is very close to Madrid-Barajas Airport, so taxi from the airport is quick (≈ 5–10 min depending on traffic)
- If you drive, use the motorway network around Madrid: connections via M11 (exits 5 & 7), M40 (exits 5, 6, 7), A2 etc.
- There will be parking zones around IFE
Several bus lines will serve the circuit / IFEMA area during event days. Some of the relevant ones:
- Line 73 (Diego de León → IFEMA Madrid) — stops near Partenón-Ribera del Sena and Feria de Madrid
- Line 112 (Mar de Cristal → Barrio del Aeropuerto) — stops near Feria de Madrid, etc.
- Line 122 (Avenida de América → Feria de Madrid) — stops at Feria de Madrid
- Line 828 (Canillejas ↔ Universidad Autónoma) — makes several stops around IFEMA / MADRING (Recintos feriales, c/Dublín, Valdebebas)
These bus lines may have increased frequency during race weekend.
- Metro Line 8 (pink line) is your best bet. It runs from Nuevos Ministerios ↔ Airport (T1-T4) and has a stop at Feria de Madrid, which gives direct access to the south gate of IFEMA.
- From central Madrid (or main train stations), you can transfer to Line 8 (via Nuevos Ministerios) and then ride to Feria de Madrid.
- Also, Cercanías (RENFE commuter train) line C1 can be used. One route: from Atocha or Chamartín to Nuevos Ministerios, then switch to metro Line 8 to Feria de Madrid.
Grandstand Tickets: Enjoy spectacular views of the action with Grandstands Sección 1, Sección 12, Sección 3
