Silverstone Classic - Event Information



The Silverstone Classic is an event full of glorious motorsport history – the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival features the cream of historic racing action from Formula One, Sports Cars, GT and Touring Car grids. With over 20 races and demonstrations, and over 1,000 race entries, this is more racing action than you will see anywhere else in the world in one weekend. Friday is dedicated to qualifying, and over 20 different races take place on  track throughout Saturday and Sunday. 


In addition to the on-track historic racing action, over one hundred different car clubs will feature over 10 000 classic cars, plus there’s plenty of fun activities for the whole family with a free vintage funfair and live concerts into the evening. The activities and entertainment at Silverstone Classic are all included in your ticket price:

Child Tickets

Child tickets are available for children of ages 6-16 years old. Children of 5 years old and younger enjoy free access, but must be accompanied by an adult and a ticket must be ordered for them.

FAQ Silverstone Classic


Is there parking available at the Silverstone Circuit?
Yes. All car parking is free of charge in the public car parks. Just follow the signposting on approach to the circuit.  


Is there camping sites available by the circuit?
Silverstone Woodlands campsite has fantastic facilities and is located a short walk or a tractor shuttle away from Gate 15 of the circuit. 


Can I bring my dog to the Silverstone Classic?
Unfortunately not. NO PETS are permitted on site at the Silverstone Classic, although fully trained and registered “assistance” dogs are welcome. Please contact the circuit on 08704 588 251 so that arrangements can be made prior to your arrival. It is however not recommended that animals be subjected to loud noises from some of our Motorsport activities. ‘Assistance’ dogs are not allowed in the paddock, garages or the pit lane. Please do not leave dogs locked in cars in car parking areas.


Can I bring my own food & drink to the event?
Yes, we allow guests to bring their own food and drink in, we just ask that no glass bottles are brought in. 


What items can I not bring into the Circuit?
Prohibited items include but are not limited to alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, chemicals of any kind, glass bottles, barbeques, ladders, laser pens, weapons or any offensive materials in whatever format.


Can I use a bicycle inside the circuit to get around?
Yes you can, you are free to use an un-motorised bicycle within the circuit.


What are the opening hours each day?
The gates open at 7.30am each morning. They will close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 6.30pm on Sunday.

Qualifying on Friday will run from 9am until 8.05pm, racing on Saturday will run from 9am until 9pm, and racing on Sunday will run from 9am until 6pm.

There'll be live music on both Friday and Saturday evenings until 11pm.


Is grandstand seating really free?
Grandstand seating is free of charge but not necessarily all grandstands will be open. 


Do I need to buy a separate ticket for the live music?
No - the live music is included in the ticket price so an Event Ticket gains you access to the circuit including the live music in the evening. There is no separate concert ticket.  


Is the funfair free of charge?
Yes, the vintage funfair rides at the JET Village Green are all free of charge.
